SCHOOL STARTS AT 8.50 - MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD IS HERE BY 8.45.

MAGIC BREAKFAST IS AVAILABLE FREE FOR ALL CHILDREN FROM 8.40.

On 13th November the Department for Education (DfE) told us that Miles Coverdale is a high performer, compared to other similar schools, for attendance.  This means we have good attendance and can support other schools who need help.

We work hard in school to make sure children and parents understand the importance of coming in every day on time and are proud to have received this news.

Key Points from 2024-2025 Academic Year

  • Overall attendance was 94% - slightly lower than we had hoped for
  • We were in line with other maintained schools in England
  • Year 4 (now Year 5) had the highest overall attendance 
  • Year 5 (now Year 6) won the weekly highest attendance more times than other classes
  • Persistently Absent pupils lower than the national average
  • 14 children to be monitored in autumn 2025 due to attendance and punctuality concerns
  • 9 children achieved 99% and no more than 9 lates across the whole year
  • Our school referred 2 families to the council for fines due to non-attendance
