On 13th November the Department for Education (DfE) told us that Miles Coverdale is a high performer, compared to other similar schools, for attendance. This means we have good attendance and can support other schools who need help.
We work hard in school to make sure children and parents understand the importance of coming in every day on time and are proud to have received this news.
Key Points from 2025-2026 Academic Year
- Overall attendance was 94.4%
- We were in line with other maintained schools in England
- Year 5 had the highest overall attendance
- Year 5 won the weekly highest attendance more times than other classes
- Persistently Absent pupils lower than the national average
- 6 children achieved 100% and no more than 9 lates across the whole year
- We still have a small number of children who arrive late frequently and we are working with families to improve that.
