Miles Coverdale Achieves DLD Friendly School Status
We are proud to share that Miles Coverdale Primary School has been awarded DLD Friendly School Status by NAPLIC.
This accreditation was achieved following a thorough audit of our practice, recognising the high-quality support we provide for children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
Being a DLD Friendly School means that we have embedded inclusive approaches across the school to support pupils with speech, language and communication needs. This includes:
- Adapted teaching strategies to support understanding
- A strong focus on vocabulary and language development
- Use of visual supports and structured approaches
- Ongoing staff training and awareness of DLD
This recognition reflects our commitment to ensuring that all children are supported to communicate, learn and thrive.

Parent Governor Election Outcome
We are pleased to confirm that, following the recent request for nominations from parents for a new parent governor, Mr Galizzi has been elected, unopposed, from 24th March 2025. Congratulations Mr Galizzi.

Good Schools Guide - Certificate of Excellence
We are delighted to receive a Certificate of Excellence from the Good Schools Guide having received a rating of 5 gold stars. This is testament to all the hard work carried out by staff and children every day at Miles Coverdale.
LGC Awards 2021
‘I am delighted that the LGC Awards recognised our achievements in the Climate Response category with such a high calibre of competition! Hammersmith & Fulham LBC have supported Miles Coverdale Primary and all schools in the Borough to prioritise and develop our climate change education initiatives over a number of years and is now at the forefront of our children's education. Our climate change curriculum is enabling our children and staff to make powerful choices that can have a positive impact for the future.
A wonderful accolade that the LGC Awards gave us the 'Highly Commendable' recognition- well deserved for all the efforts in Hammersmith & Fulham LBC!’

EVENING STANDARD AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
On Thursday 7th February 2019 Mrs Baig, Miss Picken and six of our pupils attended the Evening Standard office to collect a special award for outstanding achievement. We were honoured and privileged to win this and it is achieved as a reflection of the hard work and efforts of all the children, families and staff.
